Oh how grateful I am for both of you. All the intelligence, insight, experience, and wit. I want to be part of your virtual cocktail bubble. So many questions!
Your two voices will keep the tv on for me. Thank you for sharing your respective expertise(s) with the public. And thank you both for mentioning Thomas Paine. How did I get to be 81 without reading it? Well, that is changing. I need to hear as many educated and inspirational voices as possible.
But I’m not getting a dog, despite enjoying the dogs of my friends.
I absolutely loved your epic conversation; You and Ms. Vance are phenomenal people, no question about it. And just like the both of you, I sincerely and genuinely love dogs; I always have, and always will! I would greatly appreciate learning from the both of you; We’re all lovers of the law and the Constitution, not to mention history, and my calling of Psychology, respectively! Thank you both for being you; Looking forward to her new upcoming book from Ms. Vance, that’s for sure. I truly value and appreciate your willingness to be so diligent and have amazing fortitude, not to mention being courageous, of course. Much appreciated, Mr. Weismann!
Yes, Ms Vance is truly a marvel! We all love her insight with the Department Of Justice and are rejoicing over her book; “Common Sense”. Thank you both for the lifetime of commitment and your shared knowledge as our American way of life seems to be taking a backseat to croni politics’.
You’re both such dear and courageous people, and your understanding and analysis is so essential and appreciated in these uncertain times. Thank you! (London, England)
Thanks to both of you. We average non legal people depend on info from people like you to understand the issues. Tough environment to get the lessons, but much needed. 🐾🐾🐾
I expected to enjoy your conversation—coverage ranging from inside-DOJ insight to aging dog friends—and I did! Thanks. Please know that your work is educating young people on civics and inspiring their dreams of law school and public service. Thanks again.
Will Democrat Party rise to the moment? Who is out there that we do not know yet? We can be ethical placeholders of the citizen protest, where is the vision and the leadership?
I LOVED this interview! I would love another one where each of you talks about your backgrounds. Joyce said she is a grandchild of immigrants. Tell me more! Would love to know how Joyce and Andrew decided to go to law school and where they went, etc.
Now for a few comments that tie in with Joyce's new book I think. Her subject is on NOT giving up. (Thanks to Joe Biden for the line, "Giving up is unforgivable." Joe does not get nearly the credit he deserves for so many things, so let's give it to him here.)
1) it seems to me that since our democracy is almost 250 years old and we have had 45 presidents who were NOT Trump, that all of that is in the DNA of America and Americans. It shouldn't be that Trump can just wreck all of that heritage in one or even two presidencies IF WE DON'T GIVE UP.
And 2) i just read that at the recent Principles First Conference in D C , former academic Tom Nichols said we are watching "the dismantling of the Anerican ideal." Russian dissident and chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov said at the same meeting it's not the dismantling of the American ideal we are watching, but rather it's the "betrayal of the Anerican ideal we are watching." That actually gives me hope because I think that means we can get back on course even as horrible as Trump is IF WE DON'T GIVE UP. And I think these 2 items tie into what Joyce is writing about in her book.
Two great people who have explained the law to us SO well. Hope you have more of these conversations that we can listen to/watch! Not only interesting, but HOPEFUL - what we desperately need now, for next 4 years! Love your questions and answers with each other.
OMG, I am in tears listening to this conversation. WE AS A COUNTRY NEED TO HEAR YOUR VOICES….experienced, calm, informed, gracious and I LOVE my dog, too!

You two should do more of these.

Both of you just instill such trust and confidence. Indeed, as Joyce says, Andrew’s cool, calm voice is so anxiety-reducing, even if his words are not
Thanks again Andrew! I enjoyed every minute! I’m hoping there are plans for another in the near future with the pups! ❤️
