Tonight you brought tears to my eyes. I am sorry you lost a role model but know that you have become a role model for so many. Thank you for your work to save our precious country.
I am sure I speak for many when I say that you, Sir, are a role model for our times. Your quiet, thoughtful, and knowledgeable interpretation of the law has allowed millions of your fans to become better informed and more aware of the attempt to destroy our democracy. Thank you.
Thank you, as always, Professor Weissmann. You consistently provide meaning in the face of overwhelming challenges and light the path towards coping. Your public role models are mine as well. I look forward every day to your commentary. You are a hero to me. My deepest gratitude
Isn't it so moving, both heartbreaking and inspiring , to think of all those courageous people who are there, and we don't know them, we don see them, and yet they are like the mortar on which we build our own courage.
I feel so much gratitude for both known and not known.
Thank you for sharing the connection between a personal tribute and present and past heroes. I find myself seeking out biographies of just such people to renew myself during this fight.
Yes, to all that you listed, Andrew. 👏🏻👏🏽But, my role models also include the thousands of everyday citizens protesting in the large cities & in the small cities, from Blue States to Red States, in other words, "from sea to shining sea." I watch these protestors and they look like unlikely 'rabble rousers' as many are senior citizens (some out in front of their assisted living centers standing on their walkers with their signs), some in wheelchairs, many are parents with signs of concern for the next generation, & many are the friends/family of fired (for no reason) federal workers. Their homemade signs tell the stories of "We The People" trying to save our Democracy. 🇺🇸
Thank you for your courage in these difficult times, Andrew. It’s obvious you didn’t seek the limelight but the times found you. I look for your voice to provide clarity in the overwhelming chaos happening in the federal courts. You have my profound appreciation.
Thank you so much for your message. I think in this time of turmoil, we think about all those people who have stood up for what is right. Personal friends, celebrities and just regular folks. I know we will get through this. I’m so sorry for your loss. I am hopeful that democracy will win and we will look back and honor all those who inspired us to keep on fighting. Thank you for all that you do and for inspiring us to stay the course. Some ups and downs, alot of sadness but we are all here together.
This is the time that will put people like you deep in the memories of those of us who look for honesty and hope for the future. There are not that many who understand how dire this is, or will even admit it. The normalizing of this administration is horrifying. I know you and the people you mention in this piece, along with a hand full of others, are the ones I can always trust.
