Thank you Andrew. You and Mary have yet again made a superb episode! Yes, Mr. Garcia’s case is a trigger for many as well on so many levels! He deserves justice. Bring him home to his family “snap a doodle “!

Thank you, good conversation. What if something has happened to Mr. Garcia? The U.S. sent him back to the same country he had fled. Isn’t there a high probability he didn’t last long in a prison full of gangs that were trying to recruit him before fleeing to the US. Is that the reason Trump & co. are pushing back so hard? Have we seen any real proof that he is still alive, aside from Trump’s word? Why isn’t anyone talking about this and asking for hard proof he is alive?

As i listen to your podcast, news just broke out that Judge Boesburg has found probable cause that the administration is in contempt of his order to prohibit the illegal deportation (abduction) flights to El Salvador. I can only hope he has the authority to appoint a special prosecutor to charge contempt, maybe illegal abduction, violation of the constitutional rights of the detainees against specific members of staff who caused this to happen.

It’s easy to focus on this one man, but 60 Minutes mentioned others who are not criminals who were taken to El Salvador.

Very very grateful for your continued service to our country. As a retired lawyer (52 years) I know how much work it takes to stay current with the myriad law suits relevant to the current issues. Your analysis and commentary is not only helpful and informative, but is increasingly an act of bravery and demonstration of personal courage.

Thank you both for your learned work and clear explanation on this horrendous case. If Trump succeeds in this affair, no American is safe from his cruel grievances.

Personally, I’m convinced that Trump and his fascist sycophantic administration and congressional Republicans know that should Mr. Garcia be returned to the United States their political careers are over once he starts talking about the hell hole he’s lived in and the criminality that got him there. Can you imagine him doing the talk shows being interviewed by real journalist? Trump also never wrong and needs Mr. Garcia sadly to stay where he is to put fear into the hearts of every American and to solidify his dictatorship, and he is the ultimate law of the land. I mean, he even had the audacity to poked SCOTUS in the eye

I'm not a lawyer, but I'm aware there is a phrase in the law, "real party in interest" If the United States shipped Abrego Garcia to El Salvador, and is paying for him to be imprisoned there, isn't the United States the real party in interest in his imprisonment? Doesn't that make DC the proper place to file for habeas corpus?

The remedy for this is required. My thoughts are not good on that, and reflect my impatience when there are torture and abuse being condoned.
