Embarrassingly incompetent Yale Law School graduate Vance said - Foreign students at elite U.S. universities are "not just bad for national security, but also "bad for the American dream, for American kids who want to go to a nice university but can't because their spot was taken by a foreign student". I would have paid for a foreign student to take his place.
Africa is increasingly being helped by China. Church missionaries have mentioned that China will build roads, dig wells and assist with infrastructure whereas we are playing this smug superior game at the expense of Africa's starving children. It just seems immoral as well as bad policy.
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) today announced an open invitation to international undergraduate and postgraduate students currently enrolled at Harvard University, as well as those holding confirmed offers for Harvard degree programs, to continue their academic pursuits at HKUST. This initiative comes in response to evolving global academic landscapes and reinforces HKUST’s commitment to fostering a diverse, world-class learning environment.
I would love to be listening to you - now, and every time you post a video/podcast. If I listened everyday to all those whose commentary and advice I admire and follow, I would need more than a full 24 hours (no sleep) to do it. Non-corporate, pro-democracy media has taken off. And use of ideo/podcasting seems to be taking over from writing. I have actively been on the "unsubscribe from legacy/msm" bandwagon for a long time. I champion and promote the growth of alternatives like Bluesky, Youtube etc. and the journalists/commentators who choose to leave legacy/msm. As the media upheaval continues, what's clear is that the independent media landscape is atomized and growing so fast it's hard to keep up. [Never mind having time to do the actual work of resisting the horrifying and dangerous maga/trump regime. Isn't that actually the goal anyway?] So I'm writing this to ask that you consider having a transcript, along with the video. It's so much easier and quicker for me (and others I know) to read than to sit for however many minutes to listen to the live presentation. Please consider. I value what you have to say and hope to have access to it in a way that's workable for me. Thank you, as always.
I'm curious if either of you know about an amendment in the congressional bill that says, and I am paraphrasing, that government officials do not need to follow court order.
Unfortunately, I was unable to listen live. But I did eventually listen to the conversation. Hearing firsthand what you two think about things is very reassuring to me that things will be worked out eventually, but we carefully have to follow what is happening. As you always say, we have to remain engaged
You need to make sure you are suing Steven Miller and Steven Bannon. Make sure any one who has had their fingers on this are included.
Did you see the house budget bill dismantled accountability for contempt of court rulings by executive branch? Sneaky under middle of night darkness?
Andrew addressed this briefly towards the end. Take a look!
They are wonderful!
Ryan and Andrew model what the administration is trying desperately to fight - reasoned data driven discourse.
Many dots were connected in this conversation, including who is actually the purveyor of anti-American ideology.
Thank you for helping us exercise our first amendment right to listen!

Thank you for connecting the dots and for the thorough explanations of details that often seem to be glossed over for the general public.
Thanks Andrew and Ryan!

Thank you for this discussion

Is Ryan Goodman actually there? Looks like his camera was left on while he works...
I think he was engaging with the live chat.
He looked pretty oblivious but,,,, great!

Thank you both. Reassuring to hear your calm & steady analysis & reminder to breathe.
Great convo Andrew and Ryan! This was great!

I value your expertise and knowledge. Thank you for a thoughtful conversation providing insight and clear explanations. Kudos 👏
