“the segment laid bare the real danger: a president who believes he can remove anyone—even mistakenly—and do nothing to correct it.”
He cleverly got rid of everyone who could actually hold him in contempt or jail him. Unless the Justices or enough Republicans in Congress snd the Senate suddenly grow a real conscience. There has to be something to save us.
Trump has ultimate control of the military, doesn’t he? Could he try to « resolve » the crisis by using it? What would be the recourse if he did? Thanks!
When the American electorate votes a convicted felon into office, who then commences to shred our constitution, it becomes the duty of elected congressmen to impeach. Else they have broken their oaths and are complicit co-conspirators.
This isn’t rocket science, if you ignore one branch of our government to perpetuate the violation of individuals’ constitutional rights to due process, you’re a lawless traitor.
Every elected official (and appointed) that have taken the oath needs to stand and declare that they are with us (the USA) or against us. There’s no longer any in between.
I just want to say that I am willing to be on the front line when martial law is declared. I am an 80 year old woman and I will give up my last years in gratitude to my country for all it has given me, most especially the ideals of the Constitution. Send in the Grandmothers!
I am eating chocolate at midnight and looking at photos of birds of paradise to help me deal with Andrew's stricken voice and Judge Luttig's resolute pronouncement that "we're there". Oh, my dear Constitution, you are being shredded by a coven of depraved people who are "the enemy within".
Andrew, thanks for all your posts and for speaking up in these precarious times. Question, would moving the U.S. Marshals under the jurisdiction of the Courts through a veto proof act of a future Congress, be unconstitutional on its face? (Due to the Executive Branch role of enforcing the law.) There has to be a fix for placing power behind Court Rulings in the face of a rogue Executive.
Thank you Andrew for guiding us through the mayhem of Trump world! Always grateful! I hope you find time this weekend for some peace and joy!
Thanks Andrew! Have a great weekend!
Mr. Abrego-Garcia. The Abrego-Garcia case. Abrego is not his middle name, it’s his paternal last name.
Thank you
Hyphen just added for emphasis btw ;) apologies for being a tiresome pedant! LOVE your work Mr W! Thank you!
Appreciate these ‘week in review’ with links to revisit, reflect and share.
Please know that your knowledge, experience & ethics shine a light that paths a way forward.

Thank you for helping us to understand and get through the mishigas we find ourselves in. I am grateful to have solid voices willing to speak up.

As always, we are extremely grateful for the legal elements and court clarifications you always provide.
Can the family of Mr Abrego Garcia sue DOJ and the administration for denying him due process?
