You are SO RIGHT about how effective the J6 committee was with their questioning. There was no individual grandstanding or speechifying by the representatives.
Both the 1.8bn settlement and the IRS $100 million tax relief as part of his non meritorious lawsuit should be viewed the US government giving Trump an unlawful domestic emolument in violation of the Constitution.
All attention is on the judge in Florida. The lawsuit was a scam , and the settlement was a ruse that hid the IRS immunity! This is fraud on the court. No hocus pocus , this is another crime committed in plain site!

Too often each Senator is attempting to be the one face that gets on the evening news so there's no coordination among them, you hear pretty much the same question multiple times, and there is no coherence to the examination overall.
This time the hearing need to be played as a team sport such that each successive Senator's five minutes build on and amplify a clear understanding that "this guy is not fit to be the Attorney General of the United States of America."
I’m trying to imagine any other president, the chief executive, the commander in chief, and ostensibly the biggest American booster, betting against his own country’s welfare by refusing to pay taxes. He is such a traitor on every level.
I heard you speak at the 92Y with the incomparable Lawrence O'Donnell. Bought your book and I'm reading it now. I had been enraged that after Trump's first term nothing was done to strengthen all the laws and norms that he broke. I like the idea of making lying about elections a crime. But my conclusion, based on how Trump circumvents or ignores laws and judicial rulings, is that we have to focus on getting an educated electorate capable of evaluating and focusing on a character. No edifice can protect us against a willfully criminal, characterless ,sociopath in the WH. I voted for Obama twice. Happily. I would have been crushed had he lost. But would not at all have despaired to have McCain or Romney as president. They would have been fine, ethical presidents. That's what we need. And what we do not have no.
The issue with Todd Blanche is that one: He was never a good lawyer despite his background. Two: He's willing to risk his law license to engage in unethical behavior that clearly violates many Bar Rules to do Trump's bidding including not recusing himself on cases that involve Trump.
