I read half of Liars kingdom then I took a break and went off to Mexico for a month, but still kept up on the news here in the US. It really reinforced what book says that in the liars Kingdom everybody lies I think it’s hard for a lot of people to realize how much lying is just a norm for this administration. Most of us are not raised that way
Blanche to me is a mystery of tangled brutal devotion needing to be loved by Fraken- TrumP.
Rubio another mystery: In the past he seemed to be moderately sensible but … now ?!?

“Liar’s Kingdom,” The book addresses how we can regulate false speech by candidates and politicians, as other countries do, so we don’t have to put up with what we are experiencing daily here in the United States”
If nothing else, the "Trump's lawyer" comment shows a lack of skilled training. If Blanche had not set himself mentally any better than that, for making his responses, it shows a lack in leadership skills or as an example for those below him. In other words, he is in, way over his head.

I am currently reading Liar’s Kingdom. What strikes me is that what is said could be applied to events right now, even though the book came out a few months ago. Excellent book. It shows the predictability of this administration as well as where the boundaries of law are.

Question for both of you: Mandani has indicated that he may arrest Israel's PM if he shows up in NYC for the UN General Assembly. Since the US does not recognize the ICC which would move us further to a World Justice possibility what would this mean for Mandani's action???
Liar’s Kingdom is one of the best books I have read in a while! If you know anyone who hasn’t been following closely enough to understand the degree of rot at the core of what we non-billionaires are up against, reading this book can really help put things in perspective. Thank you so much for your lifetime of service!
I hope you will start talking about the Neagle two-factor "reasonable and proper" use of force test dating from the 1890s. Unless they are scared off, Trump's stooges, especially DNI Markwayne Mullin and Chief ICE Orc Tom Homan are likely to move from rhetorical threats against the 2026 election to actual physical attacks on the polls and ballot counting stations. If they do, I'm pretty sure they and their masked goons would be subject to criminal charges in STATE courts, and with no Federal Supremacy arguments to save their asses.

I have a slightly different take. I don’t think the “Trump’s lawyer” was a slip. I think that “slip” was done at Trump’s command.
