The Ominous Order

I want to discuss a particularly ominous order from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to the FBI. For context, the order must be seen in the context of the series of recent actions at the DOJ that I believe have serious implications for our country. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen deeply unsettling personnel shifts at both the DOJ and the FBI. There have been firings and removals of career DOJ attorneys, and similar actions at the FBI. They appear on their face to violate various civil service protections for career personnel.
